Hotel Le Gordos will welcome you on Marsh 21st 2015
Hotel Le Gordos is situated in the heart of the “Regional Park of the Luberon” just 1 km from the picturesque village of Gordes. Perched on the edge of the Mont de Vaucluse, Gordes is classified as one of the most beautiful villages of France (“Plus Beaux Villages de France” )for its outstanding situation and its exceptional architectural heritage. Gordes is also well known for its involvement in the cultural field and presents many varied art exhibitions throughout the year.
It is in this wonderful setting that Hotel Le Gordos welcomes you, nestled in a 1.5 hectares wooded park, filled with a Mediterranean array of aromas, such as lavender, thyme and rosemary. All of our ground floor rooms and their terrace either overlook a lush patio or well-kept garden, embellished with perfumed and flowery plants.
You are now in Provence!
Hotel le Gordos is your perfect “pied-a-terre” and the village is just a few minutes away by car or 10 minutes walking distance along a footpath, where you will be able to experience the stunning view of Gordes perched on a mountainside, overlooking the surrounding landscape beyond.
The “Village des Bories”, a collection of dry-stone buildings centuries old and the equally historic Abbaye de Sénanques are also within easy distance. A stopover at the Lavender Museum, just 15 minutes driving distance from us, is well worth the visit, then you can start discovering our many charming little villages dotted around in the countryside and their quaint markets.
It is with pleasure that we will help you make the most of your stay in our beautiful region and are only too happy to answer any of your questions and guide you in all that there is to share in the Luberon.
A warm and friendly setting
While upgrading and modernizing Le Gordos we aim to keep our homely, friendly and welcoming identity.
This peaceful Provencal house, built at the origin using local dry-stone, is in actual renovation. A wide glass frontage is to be added allowing more light in the building, all 18 rooms and bathrooms are being updated and redecorated in a mix of modernity and tradition for optimal comfort.
The buffet breakfast room will open on to a terrace, where you will be able to relax for an aperitif after a busy day exploring the region. You can also enjoy a well-earned rest alongside our newly installed heated swimming-pool.
You will be able to discover all these new improvements by 21st Marsh 2015.
